On Libs vs. 'Cons

I'm tired of loosely flung terminology like, 'Anti-American, or Great-American'. These terms seem to fling from the right by my estimation and it smells like simple sour grapes.

Neither side should be questioning the other's patriotism. It parallels McCarthyism. Hannity and Limbaugh are VERY guilty of the practice.

They are not capable of holding office anywhere. Please don't lend credence to their day-in and day-out drivel.

They've turned American governance into a reality show.

It just ain't right. "

Bluto, my good friend, the extremist characterizations are flung on both sides. Ever hear some of the extremely derogatory language hurled at conservatives by Bill Maher, John Stewart, the Huffington Post & just about any of the show hosts on Air America, let alone by some of the more radical left-wing Hollywood celebs?

I'm conservative, but moderate enough that Rush, Hannity and Ann Coulter don't speak for me. Regardless, don't expect them to change -- because they're making a killing in the ratings.

I agree with you DD. I am waiting for a rebuttal to something I posted on the HJ, but I want to say, 'I want my country back, too!' The one where the Screen Actor's Guild or Radio entertainers really had little influence on public opinion.

Made your brother's recipe of wing a few times lately. Pretty good stuff. I learned not to heat the Frank's to a boiling point. It separates and gets sour.. YUK!

Yep, don't boil the Frank's. Actually you don't even need to heat it at all so long as the sauce and the melted butter mix together OK. Just make sure the wings are good and hot when you apply the mixed Franks/butter sauce.

Yeah, I remember the peer pressure that only "unAmericans" do not support Bush and Chaney. Seemed that if you were against the current wars thats the label which was placed on you.
